Event:  Labyrinth Building
Role:  Coordinator, photographer, and journalist
Description:  We built a 48-foot brick labyrinth on school grounds, all with donated materials and volunteer hands.  Scary to see small children running around bricks like that, but even the tiniest hands helped build this incredible structure.  The whole process was fun!
Success Story:  Amazing experience of what happens when a community comes together to accomplish something big.

Event:  Artisthands, Wedding Photography
Role:  Entrepreneur, Website Creator, Photographer, Photo Book Designer
Description:  I always dreamed of photographing weddings.  Finally, I teamed up with several other freelance photographers and spent two years photographing as many weddings as I could book.
Success Story:  In addition to photographing the weddings, the process involved creating photo books in which I told the "story" of the wedding day.  This was the most intensive, focused, time consuming part of each project, yet I found I loved this aspect so much, it naturally lead to the desire to create books for more people to share.  Also, in the process, as I shared the wedding photos online, I was developing multiple digital skills, which lead to my website design work, which I also love to do.
